Aerobic Dance Steps : Feel the Moves
You might already know that adding aerobic dance steps to your exercise program promotes many healthy benefits to you. A cardiovascular workout that stimulates the heart and lungs, can burn calories, help you lose weight or maintain your weight. Aerobic dance steps combine the benefit of listening to music while exercising, stimulating the enjoyment of the moves. The heart pumping moves are found in the choreographed aerobic dance steps set to music. One benefit of aerobic exercising with other people is the motivation provided to one another. Others can hold you accountable in maintaining your exercise program as well. But what if you think you can't dance? A few tips along with practice will have your body flying to the music in no time. By copying the aerobic dance steps of the instructor, learning a few of the basic steps and realizing you're a body is doing the aerobic dance steps without the forethought of your mind you will begin to understand. Mirror the Instructor Take the opportunity to watch classes before beginning an aerobic dance step workout on your own. For your first class, show up earlier than the scheduled class and let the instructor know this is your first class. Find a spot where you can see the front of the class, not necessarily in the front row or two. Don't worry that anyone will be watching, you; they're all worrying about their own moves. The instructor at the aerobic dance step class will be shouting out instructions to the class over the sound of the music. He will be using the words left and right as he shouts out instructions to the class referring to your left or right arm or leg. When learning aerobic dance steps the best advice is to simply do the same actions as the instructor, ignoring the commands being shouted out. Watch the instructor and mirror his movements. Don't think about the the words, such as "v-step with right leg". Think more about the lead leg or the leg you move first in an aerobic dance step. Understand Basic Aerobic Dance Steps Aerobic dance steps are done in a basic pattern of 32 or 64 beats per minute. Don't worry about counting the total beats at first, simply follow the leaders actions. The instructor keeps count of the 32 or 64 beats. The only thing you need to keep time is the 4 and 8 counts. Basic aerobic dance steps all fall into the 4 or 8 counts, then you change the steps for the next set of counts. Eventually, the steps add up to 32 or 64. A good instructor will make sure you understand these steps before moving on. Many enthusiastic exercise instructors will make up new moves for their aerobics dance steps. They combine the elements of the basic dances into more complex movements. If you aren't comfortable or get lost with the new steps, return to the original step to find your way. Often the aerobic dance steps call for arm movements. Adding arm movements to the aerobic dance step increases the heart rate. Arm movements should only be added after you become comfortable doing the basic dance steps. Move your body When performing aerobic dance steps it's important to remember your trying to improve your health. Don't be self conscious when performing the dance steps. Being out of step or if you don't get the routine immediately, go back to the basic steps until you feel comfortable. Your body is learning aerobic dance steps, so it doesn't matter if your brain is a little slower at learning them. Feel and move to to music. Watch your instructor.
