Millions of Americans participate in an aerobics routine of some kind every day. A sport that is fun to perform, aerobics routines are great for losing weight and staying in shape. Low impact aerobic routines are the most common but dance routines have become a predominant runner. Inspired by ballet, salsa and hip hop, dance aerobics routines are becoming increasingly popular. Aerobics routines are a major factor in strengthening the heart and lungs through increased cardiopulmonary efficiency. Other benefits of an aerobics routine are the improvement of blood circulation and by getting in better shape, your cholesterol levels will lower. Reducing stress and anxiety are an added bonus. Using the equipment required is necessary since the aerobics routine is a strenuous form of exercise. Proper preparation is wise to avoid injuries when undertaking an aerobics routine. Always remember to warm-up and cool down your muscles with a final stretch when performing an aerobics routine. Performing low impact aerobic routines often have fewer injuries. Remember, you can always increase the intensity of the routine with bigger arm movements, by lifting your arms over your head frequently and raising or kicking your feet and legs higher. They are a vital role in keeping your body fit to survive the pain of getting into a fitter body.
