Slim Down With A Water Aerobics Workouts
For a minimum impact exercise that gives big aerobic benefits, try a water aerobics workout. A water aerobics workout benefits people who can't or shouldn't participate in a regular aerobic program. Water aerobics activity is gentle on your body, so it can be done by people with joint and back problems. Pregnant women, people that get overheated easily, and the obese wanting to get in shape safely should try a water aerobics workout. The routine doesn't require you to be able to swim. Many of the exercises are done in waist-deep water. A water aerobics workout is run on the same principle other aerobic activity. The object is to get your heart rate up and keep it up for at least twenty minutes. The instructor will generally use music and choreography as in other aerobics classes, and you might also work with equipment such as kick boards or wrist weights. Try Water Aerobics For A Great Workout A normal water aerobics workout will be 40 to 50 minutes including warm up, cool down, stretching routines. A simple water aerobics workout might include these steps: First, do a warm up in the pool. It should be about 10 minutes. Jogging, kicks, walking and knee lifts are good warm ups. Then do a set of exercises for stretching the quadriceps, calf muscles, hips and hamstrings for 8 to 10 minutes. Follow this with various jumps. You can do tuck jumps, frog jumps and scissor jumps at this time. Finally, do more stretching exercises to cool down. This is done for another 10 minutes. You will get many benefits from a water aerobics workout. It's a safe program for many who might not otherwise be able to join an aerobic class, but a water aerobics class is a great way to get in shape. Your odds of losing weight are absolutely in your favor, and you will probably see results sooner rather than later. The natural resistance of the water will tone your muscles without putting any strain on your joints. Spending time in the water can ease pain and soothe your body while you are giving yourself an awesome workout. Since most of us have enjoyed splashing around in a pool since we were kids, this class is usually a fun way to stick with your exercise program. To stay healthy and fit for the long term a water aerobics workout is a great activity. When you decide to try out a water aerobics workout, make sure you find a pool that is clean. Talk to the instructor and students to find a class you will be comfortable in. There will probably be a dress code and pool rules to follow, so familiarize yourself with the pool policies and procedures before starting your class. Be sure to eat about an hour before your water aerobics workout to be safe.
